Robyn and cardygirl are showing us their sewing rooms, mine is still a bit of a mess really, the only room in the house that I have not yet managed to get into in "my clean out before we move"
And Deb showed us hers a while back when she was having a sort out...
actually, I am really trying to put off this room for as long as possible! Aren't these curtains just so so UGLY! Don't know why I have never bothered to do something about them....
I visited my friend Michelle today, and her sewing room is so lovely, bigger then mine.. and we will not mention how much tidier it is either. Nor how much better organised.... hrmphhh!
but I do quite like this little corner, it's the only area that is pretty clear...
although my buttons are pretty tidy
and so are these threads.I am so glad that we cannot see inside these drawers however, they are quite a nightmare. I have decided that these can be moved just as they are, they need a good paint and makeover, new handles etc, so that's a job for my Twizel days...
.....but Rowing Man is definitely letting the side down over here in his little corner... much like his car was really!

What a useful creative space...it is so nice to see where we all retreat to! Love your buttons & holiday mementoes...especially that gorgeous Eiffel tower clock...Thanks for being brave enough to share!
I see similarities between your room and mine...and your hubby's style and my hubby's. It must be genetic, heh heh. Just think, when you get moved in, you can start over with your new sewing room all tidy and organized again and you can have new curtains too!
I just bought some new curtains for my room, by the way. I have a very large window that uses one entire wall and covering it in a way I liked was a challenge and after living here for six years I finally changed them.
Lovely sewing room. Your buttons look great. Mine are in tins which isn't nearly as practical.
Yep hubby's are messy blighters.
Could you please email me your address- you won in my secret giveaway.
Well my husband and I could definitely NOT share a space. My sewing room is a disaster at the moment...somewhere under the mess I really do have a floor! Way past time to tidy up! Love your sorted buttons. Mine are all in one big jar.
Wonderful space!
Thank you for visiting my blog and joining my give-away! I think your sewing room looks tidy and great, you should see mine! Each time when I start to clear up things, I find a pattern or a fabric and suddenly I am working on a new project....
Shiree~

Shiree, I'm repaying the visit. It's nice to talk to a fellow Kiwi. I've never been as far south as you live but I love the photos you have on your blog. It seems there's been a bit of sewing room tag going around, what a job packing and moving is.
Great place. I organize my buttons like that, too. I like the way they look- so inviting. :)
