OOOPS....

I got a bit connected to my rotary cutter on Monday nite, a very sharp rotary cutter, and now I am missing the tip of my index finger... guessing that will not grow back! Hmmm they do not look much like model hands anyway...

look at all these yummy fabrics.....

and these looking just a little bit Christmassy...

and aren't these just so so delic!!

I just love blues!

and look at this, a parcel was in my letterbox yesterday, and inside was this lovely mini quilt all the way from Penny in Ottawa, Canada. What a wonderful surprise, Penny was my swap partner in the "Good ol summertime mini quilt swap". Isn't it just so cheery!! I love it!! Thank you so much Penny!

and this is what I was working on Monday night at the Garage Ladies Quilting Group...too busy yakking, and not looking. That will certainly teach me, and hopefully you guys will not make the same mistake either! By the by, it's a cushion cover.

have fun all, (but take care!)

OUCH, do we have to be the trainer wheels back on your rotary cutter?? Remember don't admire the fabrics while you are cutting - focus on where your fingers are :) Hope its mending real fast. Take Care Hugs Jx

Shiree you poor thing. You know that Fons and Porter carries a Klutz glove? I do not know if it will prevent cuts completely but it is worth a try. I love your Lovely fabrics

So sorry but I'm giggling. Not funny but it brought back memories of my one and only rotary cutting accident when I first started quilting. I refused to go to the doctor. Fortunately I healed. Lovely stack of fabrics.

Ouch, well that's really to nice a word. It hurts my stomach just to think about it. The fingers are such a sensitive spot. I'm hoping the healing has begun. Love the colorful fabric - bad cutter, bad cutter!

Oh, you poor thing, cutting off the tip of your finger. I'm always scared of doing the same thing.
LOVE all those gorgeous fabrics you have piled up there.

Hope you recover soon Shiree. I always worry about that very thing happening. Only takes a moment of non concentration. Love the fabrics. Cheers for now......

Shiree, how that must hurt. Hope it mends fast. A lady came in my shop one time with her toe all bandaged, she had dropped her rotary and almost cut her toe off.
The quilt you were cutting out needs to be named "Hands On And A Snip Left Behind"
Love all the fabric.

I'm a sporadic quilter, but love the art. I do a bit of all sorts really. But I am so sorry you have hurt your finger so badly--OUCH! Do hope you will be feeling better soon--be taking good care. And hope before long you'll be digging into all those wonderful fabrics here. I see in your profile you will be moving soon--busy days for you just now. Do stop by again. Happy Days :o)

I LOVE that mini quilt and all those yummy fabrics. I guess a little bit of finger is a small sacrifice to pay for the joy of sewing. OUCH!!!

What a fabulous quilt from Penny in Ottawa. Love the colours and shapes.

So sorry to see your hand. I hope you have plenty of machine sewing waiting as it looks too sore for hand sewing.

Your blue cushion cover is looking good -reminds me of a tea set in the Summer.

OUCH! That looks painful and scary. I hope your injury heels up well! Those rascally rotary cutters are sharp and I've been so careful, so far no injuries. I'm going to be even especially more careful after seeing your post!
